I have heard a rumor/story that the common avos bought in stores have been treated so that their seeds may sprout and grow but will never produce fruit, has anyone else heard of this?

I've had that problem with other store bought seeds. I figure if nothing else they're putting oxygen in the air.

Do grow them this way--teach the neighborhood kids--they can't read or write or speak English, so they have to learn SOMETHING...

Grow pineapples from the cut tops, too, and was able to get one to reproduce. Got a sweet potatoe vine to bloom, too.
