I am soooo afraid of roundup  .... use instead epson salts vinegar and dish washing liquid  ...

I did this last year Pat and it seems to work at first but doesn't kill the roots. Trouble with Round Up is it kills everything including you. Been pulling a LOT of weeds and they're still winning the battle.

Yep, I've assigned myself to spending the time to just dig the weeds out.

I got a natural alternative - organic Avenger but it's too expensive for small coverage. My back is killing me how about yours Mona?

Linda, I sit on one of those garden stools when I pull them. So basically, I'm kinda squating ...not so bad. But it's quite a workout!

I have a garden cart but don't always have it with me when I discover a new batch of weeds. I have an acre and a half to patrol. haha

I mix a container of regular table salt (also very cheap) with a gallon or two of water in a sprinkle can and apply to my pavers...the weeds are killed dead..no more problem...however in a garden I wouldn't suggest salt, as it will also kill your plants..
You been reading Jerry Bakers books Patti?

We have 2 acres in the White Mountains of Arizona, and very troubled by tumbleweek and >4 others. I've been trying various "clones" of Roundup, some much cheaper, using a 2 gallon sprayer but need something self-pumping. It takes too much time and gets the old back too tired. Salt probably makes ...

Dean, I buy the 41% Roundup. 1 quart makes 22 gallons.....I use a backpack sprayer, holds 4 gallons, but it does get a little heavy at times..but sounds like you could use an electric mower mounted sprayer...

You know that's highly toxic my friend. Don't get any on you and wear a mask. Bad for the ground water too.
