Hated having to tick "Like" because this is anything but likable!

Are we presuming to know within the first week or so that this is not going to be fixed easily or quickly? Because the first thing I would do would be to set up an outdoor cooking station and then cook all of the perishables asap.

It's not fun having to think about things like this but looks to me like it is becoming increasingly prudent.
Good thinking about cooking or dehydrating the perishables, imho. As far as the family it would be wise to have those things worked out in advance in case the phones weren't working. A ready ...

It IS important to have a family plan. But it best be discussed occasionally because my daughter and I have a plan......but it's been so long ago that I don't know what it is!

Yes. So because things do change, every few months it is a great idea to go through your "Bug-Out Bag and see if there is anyway you can improve on it or change things out.

I have about 12 cases of bottled water from which I have three (bottles) in the bag, anti bacterial tablits and a bottle "purifier" of sorts.
