Since todays students are tomorrows voters, they need to know basic political concepts such as left/right/centrist/libertarian/anarchist. They need to know the difference between fascism, socialism, communism, minartcho-capitalism, and anarcho-capitalism. They need to know how the American government works in comparison to other governments. They need to know basic economics. They need to know their Constitutional rights. The Bush and Obama disasters respectively reflect how dumbed down the American population is. We need to fix that. I'm not hating on my own country, I'm just saying she has been on life support since December 23, 1913 with the passage of the Federal Re4serve Act which was not voted on by a majority vote of the people and it also institutionalized centralized government and banking which is a hallmark of communism. The people who did this are traitors and God bless Ron Paul for calling them out. Okay I rambled, but I'm agitated at the illegal shadow groups occupying America.

For the very reason this should be taught is the same very reason it won't be. This is too empowering. Parents are going to have to take it upon themselves to make sure their children get this education. I never considered that the time spent in school was equal to the education my kids should get. ...

I believe it is a rare teacher that will go out of their way to teach these things with any meaningful courses. Home schooling may be the only way to pass on this information.

The Texas state legislature requires that all students graduating from state funded institutions of higher education must take two semesters of government classes. One is normally focused on Texas politics, the other on the federal government.
