Well then why did Jesus say it ? I don't think he meant serve two masters - I think he meant we have to obey the laws of the land we live in provided they aren't against the law of God - such as - if the worldly law was to kill they neighbor - well that would pretty obviously not be what he meant.
Did you look at the link I posted? You can justify all you want but when the answers are there and anyone refuses to look at it they will be held even more accountable. Did you look at the link I posted? You can justify all you want but when the answers are there and anyone refuses to look at it they will be held even more accountable. Look over the scripture you posted. Then look at how the majority of Christians are today. They sure aren't a threat to the government like Jesus and the early church were. Look at the 501 c-3 status. How can these not be but government churches? If he didn't mean a person can't serve two masters then why did he say that?
Maybe the definition of Christian is being wrongly used - Christians today - yesterday or in the future - will live according to God's law... some posing as Christians won't.
ok since you want to be testy LOL -- which laws? Would - remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy without buying selling working etc be part of that?? Or that women shouldn't speak in the church? Or which laws exactly - all of them - every single one of them old and new testament? I ALWAYS THINK OF...

Or which laws exactly - all of them - every single one of them old and new testament? I ALWAYS THINK OF THIS when I think of God's law For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
I'm not that familiar with people holding the constitution above God's law unless they are atheists or of a different faith perhaps?? I thought the point of the constitution was to preserve our God given rights by legal agreement between citizens that makes it so.
I did and I'm sorry if I was the one to get testy - I have to take pills right now that are full of caffeine and they make me crazy - seriously sick and I guess like I'm on some kind of speed trip - don't think right on them that's for sure ... I did look it over. I couldn't relate to it - so I woul...
I did and I'm sorry if I was the one to get testy - I have to take pills right now that are full of caffeine and they make me crazy - seriously sick and I guess like I'm on some kind of speed trip - don't think right on them that's for sure ... I did look it over. I couldn't relate to it - so I would be better to save it for when I don't have to take these anymore - my mind can't be still enough to concentrate on it or focus on the point you are making.
I'm sorry to hear you are going through that. Caffeine is some powerful stuff.
The point is pretty simple.... the Constitution substitutes mans law for God's law in many cases. This country wouldn't be in the predicament it is in if it weren't happening. When the constitution of many of the original ...

The point is pretty simple.... the Constitution substitutes mans law for God's law in many cases. This country wouldn't be in the predicament it is in if it weren't happening. When the constitution of many of the original colonies are compared to our federal constitution the difference is glaring. The original founders were not ashamed to put in their documents that they worshiped the Lord Jesus Christ and him only. The Bible was their constitution and their laws reflected that.

No man can serve two masters.
