Tuition, I expect and am ready to meet those demands. It's the extracurricular activity fees that run the bill up and NO, he does NOT partake in those activities. EVERYONE has to pay (like property taxes).
Then books is the second highest cost. Routinely a single book can be anywhere from $100 -$400. Even more depending upon the major.
So I am paying for my own as well as some strangers!!
I'm told because of the limited printing. But it IS known and a fact, that these same books are dirt cheap internationally. I have gotten texts costing $400 here, for less than $100 from Singapore.
These books are marked "International" and they're supposedly illegal to use in the US.

I took my first international book to the head of the school department and asked to see the US version for comparison. I opened page 144 on each...they were the same. I checked this way a dozen times.
